Rosie is an Earth Systems Science undergraduate.  Because of her interests in sustainability education and engagement she has been a member of Power Save Green Campus and Global Environmental Brigades and has been affiliated with the Center for Unconventional Security Affairs. Her passion for sustainable food systems has led her to be a current active member in the Real Food Challenge and the ASUCI student-run garden.  Understanding our food system has challenged her to think about the fragility of the earth and the complexity of its people and how disconnected cities have become from our physical environment. Her academic studies coupled with her co-curricular activities have given her hope to build happier, healthier, and more resilient communities through bringing back some of those lost connections in the form of smart growth and urban planning policy and design.  She plans on continuing her education in urban and regional planning with an emphasis in sustainable development and natural resources.  Contact her at earthei@uci.edu.
