Emily McVey is an undergraduate working towards a B.S. in Earth System Science with minors in Global Sustainability and Civic and Community Engagement. She became involved with the Environment Institute after hearing a lecture on environmental law by Abby Reyes. Emily began by volunteering with the institute and when a job opportunity came up she knew she wanted to work here. As of now, she thinks that working at the Environment Institute has been the most engaging and best experience in her undergraduate career. After UCI, she would like to work to communicate environmental issues and sustainable living practices in a way that will organize collective action towards a life sustaining society.
