Watch for details!

The UC Irvine Environment Institute: Global Change, Energy, and Sustainable Resources was created in 2008 to foster education and research opportunities that address interactions between the environment and society. Sustainable energy development and responsible use of natural resources has become increasingly urgent with 21st century changes in climate, technology, ecosystems, demography, and social practices. The Institute sponsors research partnerships that focus on defining and understanding the dynamic interactions among science, technological innovation, and societal response. The Institute recruits faculty to UCI who are leaders in the environment, global change, energy, and sustainable resources. Opportunities for community involvement include participation in sponsored seminars and working with the Institute to enhance interdisciplinary studies through funded programs and facilities.
