The Institute draws on the expertise and guidance of additional leaders within the UC Irvine academic community: the Governing Board of the Institute includes the Deans of the three affiliated Schools (School of Physical sciences, School of Biological Sciences, and The Henry Samueli School of Engineering) and the Vice Chancellor for Research; the nine-member Steering Committee includes faculty from across the campus who are recognized experts in the environment, global change, energy, and sustainability.
