Basic concepts from general, physical, and analytical chemistry as they relate to environmental engineering. Particular emphasis on the fundamentals of equilibrium and kinetics as they apply to acid-base chemistry, gas solubility, and redox reactions. Laboratory sessions. Prerequisite: Chemistry 1A-B. (Design units: 0) Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Environmental Engineering majors have first consideration for enrollment.
