The UCI Environment Institute will build a membership of affiliated faculty and community leaders who participate in sponsored projects and whose interests intersect with the goals of the Environment Institute.

Initial affiliates within UC Irvine include the Governing Board, Recruiting Committee, and Steering Committee. Additional on-campus affiliates will include newly recruited faculty and principal investigators on research projects funded by the Institute. The Institute will develop outreach programs to encourage the involvement and affiliation of the community outside of UC Irvine as well.
